I attended The People's Party last Sunday!!!!!!!!!!11one

And no, it's not remotely related to politics at all, but no one would blame you if you thought it was. It is an odd name for a music festival!

The highlight of the day was seeing Bombay Bicycle Club live!! Ahhh, Jack Steadman! <3

Also caught The Naked + Famous and Unknown Mortal Orchestra! And there were a couple of local bands and one from Hong Kong called Noughts and Exes, who were not bad at all!

So yes, was really disappointed because we ALMOST got to meet them up close but we missed it. We actually thought we were at the wrong exit, because this time we weren't exactly sure where the back exit was.

I was reaaaaally sad almost the entire day on Monday. Especially after I digged through the interwebz and found people who met the Bombay boys and took photos with them.

Words cannot express how much I regret not grasping onto what little hope/chance of meeting them when we were at the place we weren't sure was the back exit.

But I should be over it by a week... hopefully.

I guess one of the reasons why I'm so sad is because I love meeting band members that are really nice and I think Bombay Bicycle Club seem to be genuinely really nice people.

They're like people you can really chill and feel comfortable with. It doesn't matter that they're shy or awkward - I'm shy and awkward as fuck myself too.

The perfect band, in my opinion, has good music, and the next most important factor is their character and how they treat people. If the band's got really good music but has shitty attitude, are quite mean in general or are really arrogant, then I'd probably not feel as bad if I didn't get to meet them after a gig.

Halfway through performing, Jamie stopped the band and told us all that it was actually Jack's birthday today. They brought in a cake for him and they also had sparklers! HOW CUTE!

We all sang Happy Birthday to him. Then he said "This is embarrassing." HAHAHAHA WE ALL KNOW THAT FEEL BRO.

Funny thing: I actually missed the part where he fell (too engrossed looking at Jack, guilty as charged.), and when he was on his back I thought he did that on purpose as part of a cool guitar stunt. HAHAHAHA. You know how they lie on their back and do their guitar thing?

Parents: Don't trust just any tuition agency.

Tuition agency called earlier.
The same woman who always calls me to offer tutoring 'deals'.
Let's just call her MT for Ms Tan.

MT: Hi Sabrina did you get my message?
Me: Um, no. (I answered the call before i checked my text msg inbox)
MT: Oh you didn't? Because I have a Primary 2 student at ____, are you interested?
Me: Oh, no I'm actually not interested in tutoring anymore.
MT: Really? Why?
Me: It clashes with my schedule.
MT: Then what about the P3 kid in Lakeside?
Me: I'm not tutoring him anymore.
MT: Oh, why?
Me: His mum thinks my schedule is too packed for him.
MT: So you don't have time now or you're not interested already?
Me: Uhh yeah I'm not interested anymore.
MT: Ohh don't give up just because of this one time you know *her using her stupid nice voice to persuade me again. Nah uh, not this time wretch!*
Me: Ummm it's not that, it's just that I'm not interested anymore.
MT: Oh..
Me: Yeah, thanks..
MT: okay if you want to tutor again next time call me.
Me: Okay sure, thanks.

My god is she annoying.

This conversation probably doesn't bring my point across quite enough.

But this woman has called me multiple times before the tutoring job in Lakeside to offer me tutoring deals and never gives up even after I ignored her many calls.

Finally answered one day when she called me with a different number (schemingggg), and she actually managed to PERSUADE me to take up that lakeside tutoring job with her stupid nice persuasive ass voice, telling me it'll be easy. And she told me to lie to the mum that i've had tutoring experiences before with my younger cousins. When I sounded bewildered over the line, she said, "It's not really lying la hahahah it's just to assure the parents." IT'S STILL LYING ARE YOU AN IDIOT.

She told me the apparent 'standard procedure' in which the tuition agency will recommend the tutor the appropriate textbooks/workbooks to buy it on the behalf of the parents and get the money back. Okay, this part seems reasonable. Recommended books by the tuition agency, must be pretty good right?

But no.

The books MT recommended me weren't even very good when i went to the bookstore to look for them. In the end I spent at least a good 40 minutes to look around the bookstore flipping through books to pick out the one i think is the best, strategically, content-wise etc.

In my opinion she just wants to refer as many tutors to as many parents as possible, which is why she won't fucking give up on calling you, especially when there's nobody else in that particular area (west, east, etc) of the tutee. She just wants to earn as much commission as she can. Which is horrible.

I'm not even done yet.

When I told her that I didn't choose to teach Science to the p3 kid (I chose English and Math), she told me that "Can one la p3 science very easy. There's answer sheets."

Which although it is true, it's still not the right way, no?

And she lied to the Lakeside mum saying that i've had tutoring experiences with my relatives before which was bloody awkward cos the mum asked me about it and i'm like WHAT THE FUCK NOW I HAVE TO LIE. Not sure if the mum saw through my bad poker face but anyway that's over so whatever.

So yes, point of this blog entry is, don't trust just any tuition agency because some of them are really just in it for the money. Sure, if you get a good tutor then good for you, but if you get a lousy tutor who doesn't even have decent grades and just wants to earn some extra moolah, then... :/ Be sure to check on your tutor or you'll be paying for nothing.

Okay now i don't even know why i'm writing this blog post. I don't really even care about parents who send their kids for tuition classes in Primary school (YOU EVIL KIASU PARENTS). But i guess i just got kind of pissed at how it kind of is unethical how they work sometimes.

p.s. had a fantastic time today with my archery mates! Tammy, Jiayi, Hongying and Haikal! Had Popeyes for lunch, watched The Smurfs: the movie, shopped around (got a Beatles shirt from H&M, love it!), had dinner at Old Town (I got curry chicken with steamed bread, but it was meh. ToastBox's curry chicken is waayyyy better. OT's curry was so diluted!) and we played Rockband afterwards at Scape! SO FRUITFUL RIGHT? HEHEHE. :D Pictures will be added here as soon as I get them! :)

Shall just update this space since I practically blogged about the concert on Facebook hahahaha cos I wrote a super long essay in a single photo description! (I'm going to just copy and paste what I wrote into this blog entry hehehe)

OH YES I GOT A PHOTO WITH ALEX FUCKING TRIMBLE! WOOOHOOOOOO!

And I got my ticket signed by all 3 of the lovely boys!

ALEX TRIMBLE AND I! FUCK YEAH! \m/ The concert was amazing, I screamed and sang until my voice got hoarse. They performed some of their new songs, I CAN'T WAIT FOR THEIR ALBUM AHHHHH! I'm still high from the adrenaline, I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight.

Kevin was shaking and headbanging throughout very vigourously hahaha it was quite amusing. Drummer was great! And they threw the drumsticks halfway through the concert, wonder who the 2 lucky people were! I actually screamed "Alex I love you!!" in between their 2 songs when it was more or less quiet but I don't think he could hear it :( The tickets we got was quite close to the stage but in the end a lot of people rushed to the stage or moved to the seats in front, mannn the people who paid for the $148 tickets (front row tix) must be pissed haha. But oh well it's impossible to control the crowd :p We were pretty comfortable with where we were so we just stood there and jumped. It's my first time seeing Samantha so high ;)

So after the concert we went outside and there was a majorly long queue - they were gonna have an autograph session so we hurried to queue up while Sam's sister and Junhao left first. Waited for a reaaally long time and when the queue got shorter I was so nervous omg. When we got to them, the guards kept rushing us though gahh they were so annoying. I wanted to ask Alex for a hug initially but I was carrying my laptop plus the damn guards were rushing so i only got to take a photo with him which is better than nothing hehehe :)

The ushers actually told us "You can take pictures with the band after the autograph session." So we waited and guess whatttt they lied to us DAMN USHERS! I guess they just wanted to speed up the autograph session progress since we were like the last quarter of the queue. But it's a good thing we still took a photo each with the people we wanted to haha. (Me - Alex, Sam - Sam. HAHAHAH SAM SAM HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA) But for Sam, the guards kept rushing Samantha and so he was really confused and didn't know whether or not to look at the camera and the photo turned out really blurry and shit. Sorry Sam :(

So yesss the whole experience was really great! Okay maybe except the bloody bright white lights cos they were so blinding. Their first song was Cigarettes in the Theatre and it the lyrics were SO apt because it says "look past the blinding light, look past the blinding light" HAHAHAHA!

Okay this is like a blog post hahaha sorry for rambling!

Oh and I saw Corrie on the lighting board hahaha we waved to him like twice before he noticed us. It would have been nice if he could smuggle us into the green room or something and we can just chill with TDCC after the whole autograph session or at least just stare at them creepily HAHAHAHAHAHA but that's impossible since it's against the darn policy :(

Andddd I also went to Warpaint's concert on 2nd August! Took quite a number of pictures of the performance, it's all on facebook. Shall just post the most important photo here.... which is a photo of Emily Kokal and I. :DDD

I look like absolute shit in the photo but OMG EMILY HAS HER ARM OVER MY SHOULDER. And Jenny and Theresa is in the background, hahah!

It happened all so quickly though :( Cos the management people were also rushing us although it was wayyyy more chill than the Two Door Cinema Club one since not a lot of fans were there to wait for them at the back exit and I guess it's got to do with them being not as mainstream over here.

Oh yesss in between performances I actually shouted, "STELLA!!" (she's the drummer) and she actually looked at us omggggg. It was easily to get their attention in the concert cos the audience weren't that loud at all? :/ Anyway Samantha waved to her and Stella freaking waved back HAHAHAHA so I waved to Stella too while smiling like an idiot.

Was disappointed at how most fans were so biased towards Jenny, and some to Theresa. I mean even though I like Theresa too but... c'mon, show some love to Stella and Emily!

You could hear people shouting for Jenny most of the time, followed by Theresa, and Stella did get some shouts here and there too (including from me hahaha) but Emily didn't really.. :( But it's okay because at the start of the concert I did shout for Emily (I like Emily and Theresa best) and she actually smiled to herself when she heard it HEHEHEHEHEHEHE!

At one point a girl shouted "JENNY! THERESA! STELLA!" and she didn't shout Emily's name! *RAGE* >:'(

Maybe i'm over-reacting but I just feel kinda bad for Emily because she deserves so much more love than she's getting.

Alrighty it's 1.46am right now, I better get some sleep.

I have to study for PCN tomorrow gahhh test coming up this Monday.

And very soon, exams are coming too. I'm so gonna die.

Theblogshop clothes buffet

So a few days ago, Jiayi told me about this clothes buffet in Haji Lane held by Theblogshop as part of the GSS sale. For $30, they'll give you a shopping bag, and you can grab as many things as you can stuff into the bag. So yes, it's like a buffet except it's with clothes. And a limit, of course.

Sounded too good to be true, I suspected they were gonna just give us old stocks that couldn't get sold out.
But ultimately Jiayi managed to persuade me and the ad was attractive enough.

The ad said, 'bags/accessories/clothes/shoes' included, and they said that the shopping time was limited to 1 hour. (but when we were there, they cut it to 20 minutes.)

I thought, maybe i'll just get some accessories and bags if the clothes don't suit me.

But inside the shop, it was a whole different story. There were mostly only clothes strewn on a table and on the floor, and I think I speak for most of the girls there when I say, 99% of the clothes there were ~~ugly as fuck~~ not very nice.
Shoes: I only saw one pair of heels, and they were ugly as well.

Accessories: NO necklaces/rings which I was looking forward to. Belts were okay (though mostly not my style), contact lenses (with degrees, so obviously I can't get them), false eyelashes (not for me either since I don't wear them). /edit: p.s. they said max 3 accessories
Bags: Yeah there were bags, they weren't bad I think (didn't really manage to have a good look), but the 'buffet bag' they provided was puny. It was impossible to even try to squeeze one of the bags into an EMPTY buffet bag, let alone try to squeeze it with other items. So I didn't really bother to look at the bags much because i knew it was impossible to get them.

My shopping experience there wasn't very good. People weren't as pushy as I expect (thank god! I detest pushy people) but got bumped a lot -__-

Anyway, people were just grabbing and grabbing and myself with an (STILL) empty buffet bag, I was like 'FFFUUUUU--- nothing is catching my eye!' So I decided to just grab whatever looked nice... which was hard, considering most of the clothes were really ugly.

Looked nice at first glance cos I only saw the sleeves, so i just grabbed it cos I was miserable with an empty bag :(When I got home I saw the 2 ribbons on the sleeves and I went LOL. Too fucking cutesy for me HAHAHAHAHAHA. Might cut the ribbons off, or not, we'll see.

For this top, the sewing job was not very nicely done, loose threads everywhere. But it's not that bad overall so I'll let it pass.

Then again I'm still not sure if I would wear this top out :/

Got this belt. I honestly don't need another belt but NOTHING else there was good, seriously. At least this belt caught my eye and was small enough to be squeezed into the buffet bag.

Ah, this dress. At first i just grabbed it because of the nice mint colour, then I went, "I have no idea what this is wtf" to Jiayi. Another girl actually heard me and she laughed HAHAHAHA!!

But I just took it anyway because I wanted to fill up my buffet bag.

Figured i could go home and DIY it and make it into something wearable or cut it entirely and make something new out of the material (was thinking of making a scalloped top! Cos I always can't find my size outside!).

But when I got home i realised it's sort of like a halter-neck multi-way dress? Something like a halter neck dress but you can tie it in more than one way because the halter strap is longer.

But it's SO NOT ME and it doesn't look very nice and it isn't exactly my size either. It's free size.

I hate 'free size'. Free sizes are meant for bloody average-sized people! Petite, tall or larger sized people can't wear them. So screw all the average-sized people in the world

!!! HAHAHAHA! (*hint hint Tammy inside joke!)

So yes, this was a bad find, unless I can find some way to DIY and make it into something I would wear :/

This ribbon, I saw it on the floor and just added it into my buffet bag but I have no idea what I would use it for HAHAHAHAHAHA but the tag says it retailed for $16 so I was like NO I PAID $30 FOR THIS BUFFET AND I DIDN'T GET ANYTHING I WANT AND THE CLOTHES ARE SHIT, SO I'M GONNA JUST TAKE THIS.

My PERSONAL opinion after Theblogshop's clothes buffet is that this whole thing is a marketing strategy to clear all their old, unwanted stocks that they NEVER managed to sell out for a long time.

To say it is a 'CLOTHES BUFFET' is just putting it nicely (in contrast to 'CLEARANCE SALE'), and make it seem more attractive to people. After all, if they sold those ugly clothes at a clearance sale at a cheap price, no one would buy them. But if the clothes were under a 'clothes buffet', people would just grab the clothes without much consideration even if they looked like crap because they already paid money beforehand for the clothes buffet, which isn't refundable.

I mean, say it was a clearance sale, and I was there. I wouldn't get any clothes from there even if they were $5 each. Other customers would probably not buy the clothes either. If that happens, Theblogshop wouldn't earn much, and they'd still be stuck with all the unwanted clothes which they'd never manage to sell.

So yes, I've got to give it to them, great marketing strategy because not only did they manage to clear their old ugly stocks (sorry I'm just going to be blunt here because they were really terrible), but they also managed to earn a shit load of money out of it. BRAVO MY FRIENDS AT THEBLOGSHOP, BRAVO.

Ultimately, it's still my own fault for deciding to go for the clothes buffet, because knowing myself,

1. I standing under the hot sun. (did that for 1hour++ queueing outside the shop)

2. I hate shopping in chaotic environments, like in a sale, and this was a 20-minute buffet so imagine, people there being crazy as hell and I'm like, just chilling (but inside feeling VERY annoyed at the pushy people)... HAHAHA

I should have known better myself! But what's done is done and thankfully it was only $30 so it wasn't a big loss. (still feel cheated though!)

Anyway, I seldom go shopping at Haji Lane so I decided to walk around for a bit with Jiayi and I found this 3/4 maxi I really like! It was $40 after a discount (originally $49) which is kind of overpriced because it's of a really thin cotton material + it's brandless. :(

That's one thing i don't really like about shopping at Haji Lane! The boutiques are really small and independent, so their stuff are usually really overpriced.

I bet the cost price is a fraction or lesser, but oh well, at least I ACTUALLY like it!

I better make sure i wear it though, I realise I always buy dresses but never wear them because I think they're inconvenient for school hahaha.

I would really rather spend more on something i know i will like than going for a clothes buffet though. So yesss, first and LAST clothes buffet experience for me!

I know this space is practically dead: I'm here to revive this blog. Sort of.
Anyway just a few updates about my boring life:

I'm currently having a 1-month internship with Esplanade.
Can't really blog much about it because I'm not supposed to hahaha.
Anyway, I can't be bothered to blog to be completely honest. :x

So far it's pretty okay I guess :/

I don't know if I'll regret choosing the internship over a perfectly good 1 month holiday since this internship is completely optional. I hope not. HAHA!

The internship has tired me out quite a bit too so I guess I'll be going out a lot lesser since on my one and only off day I would want to just sleep and chill around my house the entire day! That means I get to NOT shop so much, which is a good and a bad thing. But that's all right because I bought a shitload of clothes before the internship started. But it sort of evens out in the end because i get sick of my wardrobe quite easily.

Okay, I'm going to end this boring and pretty much pointless blog entry.
I kind of can't wait for school to start! Year 2 here I come ;)

fucking hair falling out.

i am freaking out.

my hair is starting to fall out like crazy again in the shower.
it's just, shampooshampooshampoo then i look at my hand and BAM,
a bunch of hair right between my fingers.

this happened previously when i was using herbal essences shampoo. (click here)
and i ignored it because i didn't know where the problem stemmed from.
after i stopped using that shampoo, my hair stopped falling so much and it got back to normal.

i had to wait for months for my hair to fully grow out and be normal.
so basically i was walking around looking retarded like some ah lian with rooster shit hair.
to future illustrate my point, i drew a picture.

okay, jokes aside, but can you see how ridiculous it looks?

i don't want to have to go through that again -__-

so now i have to change my shampoo again.

hairfall shampoos are a sham HAHAHAHA GEDDIT? and it's poo too since it doesn't work.

My current hair fall started more or less around December 2010 and it makes me believe that what i'm having now is seasonal shedding. So basically every end of the year i have to experience this shitty hair shedding crap and live with ugly baby hair sprouting out my head for a few months. HOW LOVELY.

Sooo, at around 11.30pm last night I was itching to paint. Not quite sure what, but I just wanted to grab a paint brush and paint something. So I looked for paint and my paintbrushes which were *phew* fortunately, easily found in my study room. I haven't painted in ages. I used to love painting/drawing as a kid even though sadly I didn't really take it seriously or practice so yeah my drawing skills are.. meh.

I started drawing alphabets and decided to make the above. It's quoted from a song ('Saco Boys Have No Class' by Sparks The Rescue, if you're interested), and this particular part of the lyrics just sort of stuck with me because it's pretty meaningful if you think about it. It's been my Tumblr blog name too.

Anyway funny story. I picked the colours teal and red for this, but the TEAL actually turned out to be just green, I'm not sure if the paint is old (like I said, I haven't painted in ages!) or if I mixed up the caps and didn't realise it HAHAHA. So then I was like okay hahaha this is funny, it turned out red and green, which is christmas-themed and it's Christmas. (I started painting after 12 midnight) Okay maybe it isn't that funny HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!11

It's 1.30am now and I've finished (obviously haha) painting, cutting and pasting the words on my wall with blu-tack.

Let's just say, it took me much longer than I expected it to be. I couldn't even be arsed anymore to use a penknife to cut off the excess paper in the middle of the alphabets hahaha as you can tell from the picture.

Anyway since new years is coming up, I felt like I should at least do 1 proper blog post because I've been neglecting my shit blog for let's seeeee more than 2 months? My previous PROPER blog post was on 16 October.

I don't know if I should do a new years' resolution here because I honestly I think it's quite pointless hahaha. I can't remember when was the last time I did a new years' resolution.

But yeah I hope 2011 will be smashing! My life so far, hasn't been the awesomest but I guess I'm content. I'm really grateful for the amazing friends I have in secondary school and the new friends I've made in poly. Well of course not everything has gone smoothly. I'm quite shocked honestly because I never thought I'd have any friend issues in poly. Everybody should be mature enough but no, I assumed wrongly. I really feel I shouldn't trust people that easily and forgive them so easily either. But I guess when shit happens, it might be a good thing because then you find out who your true friends are. Or at least, you find out who the fake, pretentious, backstabbing, two-faced piece of shits are.

Right. I'll end this blog entry with a happy note.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Just watched part 1 with Samantha, Charity, Syafiqah, Junhao, Holas, Yongwei and Benjamin.

Not going to say much in case of any spoilers, so in short, let's just say: I freaking cried again.

So far, of all the harry potter movies, I've cried 3 times.

It was quite embarrassing, to be honest. hahaha.

I was practically crying my eyes out - silently, of course, and I had to bite my lip to stop myself from any possible whimpering. My bag was on the floor of the cinema, and I didn't want to reach out for my bag for tissues straightaway because it would be sooo obvious that I cried.

So i tried to fight the tears but to no avail, of course. The end result: my face was covered in tears (DRIPPING OFF MY CHIN LOL) and i had no choice but to wipe them off with my bare hands and go for the tissues. Damn it, should've known better and just got a packet of tissues on my lap ready. HAHAHA!

Shortly after that scene, the movie ended. Luckily i had already wiped my tears off with a tissue paper HAHAH but the others could tell i cried. And actually, other than me, only Charity cried, and Syafiqah said she only teared.

The others didn't cry!!!!!! WHY!!!!!!!!!! D':

Hahah but I really don't know why i get so easily affected by movies.

I can't wait for part 2 but it's gonna be out next year what the ffffffffffuuuuuucccckkkk. I really can't wait any longer.

And I want to read all the books during the coming holidays. I've only read one of the books last time in primary school and besides - it's just not the same reading it now, and reading it then.

I realise when we're younger, we watch movies and read books, but we never really understood or grasped the meaning behind the story, or read between the lines because our thinking skills haven't really developed then.

I wish I could start reading the books just right now but school wouldn't allow that. ARGH, exams and homework and all that shit. Can't wait for poly to be over but at the same time I also enjoy the time spent with my classmates etc. Can't say the same for a certain module we're taking up this semester though.

How I spent my holidays.

Felt like updating my blog a bit because I've obviously neglected it long enough.

I've enjoyed my holiday tremendously so far, mostly because I can do what I like, which basically is to stay home all day watching youtube videos (yes I'm a no lifer, so whaaaat) and TV shows that I've wanted to watch for a really long time but haven't got the chance to. (skins, the inbetweeners, family guy! LOVE!)

Hahahah of course that's not all! :D

I also made use of the time and did these things:

1. DIY-ed! Like I mentioned in my previous post, I tried tie dying a t-shirt. I also DIY-ed a few rings! :) Here are pictures.

The diy-ed rings! The leaves rings didn't turn out like how i imagined them while i was diy-ing it in my head in the shop (HAHAHA) but it still looks pretty okay i guess.

2. Read!

I've not been reading for the longest time, so i decided to make full use of this holiday to read.

I know myself, and when school reopens, chances are I wouldn't be bothered to pick up a book to read LOL.

I've been wanting to read 'looking for alaska', 'an abundance of Katherines' and 'paper towns' by John Green so I went about and looked for them!

I found Paper Towns so i read that. :)

I guess the reason why i haven't really been reading is because of the lack of time, and it's ALSO partly because i don't feel there's a need to. Since i'm not in Mass Communications which I originally wanted to be in, and i'm in an Engineering course, to be honest language really isn't an important factor in my studies.

So there's not much of a need to, you know, constantly read books to have fresh ideas and plots because I have to write or whatever.

Which sort of sucks because language related stuff is easier to me as compared to Physics stuff that I currently have to learn. -___-

Anyway, moving on!!

3. Spent time with my lovely archery mates, Jiayi, Hongying and Haikal! I've missed them!

Slutty Tammy couldn't make it because of school so only the 4 of us met up.

You know with some friends, you get quite awkward when you meet them after a long time of not meeting them?

And with some friends, you don't?

Well our archery group belongs to the 2nd category :)

Another good example would be Tammy and I. Even if we don't meet for months, when we do meet up, it's doesn't feel different or anything, it's just as if we've been hanging out regularly.

I guess it also depends on how good you are with people, but I think it also largely depends on how well you click with the other party. There will always be some people you won't be able to click well with, no matter how good you are with people, be it because of different interests or characters in general.

I might not have a thousand friends, but i'm grateful for the circle of close friends i have right now :)

4. SHOPPING!!

Also went shopping a few occasions with Tammy but as usual, we didn't take pictures LOL!

We almost ALWAYS don't take pictures when we go out because we're usually too engaged with shopping in a store, eating, or walking around. Plus, I guess the both of us aren't exactly the camwhore-y type (especially me LOL) so that contributes to why we always don't take photos. :x

Holidays are ending in about a week! :(

I don't really want it to end because I really do enjoy rotting my ass, but at the same time I sort of want to go back to school? Hahahah I don't know!

Will be taking up new modules next semester and some modules would be more difficult i guess, gahhhh I hate physics and a-math. :(

Tie dye shirt!

So yesterday I got a buncha DIY stuff.

I'm going to make my own rings and tie dye a shirt! :D

I've always wanted to try tie dying but I didn't know where to get the supplies and I didn't know exactly how to tie the shirt properly to achieve the desired kind of tie dye i want.

I don't really like the extremely hippie sort, with a lot of colours and circles and what not.

The kind of tie dye I like is just sort of like a crumpled, grungy look. The thing is, I don't even know how to achieve that kind of tie dye look.

So anyway, I went to Art Friend yesterday and found dyes! :D

So I got one, and afterwards I got a plain white tee from F21 to experiment.

I just tried tie dying it and it's not that easy lol. You have to really make sure not to get the dye somewhere where it'd stain, cos the dye won't come off. I wore gloves, but I took them off at one point and my hands are a little stained with the dye now hahahahahaha.

The shirts turned out not as good as I wanted them to be, but it isn't too bad, so I don't regret trying this out :D

Will post pictures of the DIY-ed rings (4 of them) when I'm done with them, 2 of them are simple where you just stick the pendant thingy onto the ring, but I'm afraid i'll need to ask my aunt for help for the other 2 which requires wiring or threading which i am clueless about :x

So I'm guessing they won't be completed that soon :x

Okay so he's been in Singapore since like last week or so to perform and stuff.

The one I just went for is his youtube workshop thingy plus a few performances, including one with this guy named Moses who won the competition to perform with him!

Congrats, Moses! He sings well. :)

Apparently, you don't have to get tickets to see his other previous performances.. If I'd known this earlier I would've attended them! The website previously only stated registration instructions for the youtube workshop D:

Anyway, I went there (Timbré SubStation) with Junhao, Winona and Quan!

And we made 3 new friends there muahahaha.

One of them is from Greece (Ellie), one from Lebanon (Nour) and the other from Germany (Sonja). How cool is that.

Oh and I swear Ellie is super cute. HAHAHA okay I know I sound creepy, but yes.

I don't really know how to describe the awesomeness of the whole storyline/plot.

You HAVE to watch it to understand!

All I have to say is that this film is FUCKING MIND BOGGLING TO THE FUCKING MAXIMUM!

In a good way.

After the movie I still kept thinking about the movie (for many freaking hours.) and trying to figure out how the thing works because it's seriously complex! I really take my hat off Christopher Nolan for writing this film. I'm sure it was super hard work!

Anyway, all that thinking paid off because I understood the movie better.

I absolutely hate watching a movie and leaving confused about the plot.

(because there were some parts of the movie I felt MIGHT have contradicted itself but I wasn't sure because I might have gotten the concept slightly wrong.)

Sooo yeah. I'd love to type an essay about my thoughts about the movie and my questions but I'm not going to because I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't watched it. Hahah.

Oh and the other awesome thing about watching Inception is that I get to see Joseph Gordon-levitt! *swoons*

Fell in love with him when I watched him in (500) Days of Summer! AHHHHH.

Who cares if we're 12 years apart? ;D Heheheheh.

He might not be the mad hot gorgeous wowaawowwww type, but I don't know, there's just something about him that charms me. Teeheehehehehe.

Graphic designing urges..

I suddenly felt the urge to do something graphic design-related.

Which is weird, because I haven't been doing anything relating to that since primary school.

I used to spend my free time meddling with photoimpact (similar to photoshop, but less features.) making all sorts of graphics, drawing pixels (this is hell) and exploring how to adjust the colours of pictures etc.

70% of my time would be spend

on MSN Groups pages where people did the same things.

The funny thing is a lot of them are like.. old grandmas who retired and do this as a hobby. HAHAHAHAHAHA

So I was like the only 10 year old kiddo in the whole group.

I was bent on joining a graphic design course when I enter polytechnic next time then, but in Secondary school I had no time for this hobby so the interest slowly went away, I guess. :/

Anyway I guess I can still meddle with it during my free time now if I'm bored. Beats surfing facebook the whole day with nothing interesting happening!

Okay anyway i got the urge to do something, so I did. hahahaha.

I made a logo for Cookie Conspiracy..

It's actually a temporary band name for Quan & my not-very-confirmed acoustic group/band/idk.

But it sounds quite nice and cute so it might stick with us hahaha.

Finally met up with Tammy on Thursday after like months or so of not meeting!

Okay, maybe we DID meet in between for once.

Because one day we tried to bake molten chocolate cake together but it turned out pretty fail.

HAHAHA.

To be honest, it actually tasted okay but out of 10, the presentation has at most 3 marks. LOL!

But then again, it wasn't like a proper outing outside so not really counted! Hahahaha.

Anyway, we watched a movie~ We caught Shrek: The Final Chapter in 3D!

The next thing I'm going to say will probably make me sound very sua ku, but I think I've never watched a movie in 3D before. HAHAHAH! :x

Maybe I have in the past, but that would be like many, many years ago when I was still in primary school and when the 3D effect probably wasn't very good/as advanced yet.

My virgin 3D-animation movie experience was pretty good! (Y)

Some people said that the first few minutes would make you feel giddy and what not but I didn't experience any giddiness whatsoever.

Oh and my take on the movie.. it's pretty good!

I don't understand why some people said it's boring?

Cause like I said before in my tweets, I think animations like these (e.g. from Pixar) can never be boring.

They're like made for all age groups! Entertaining for both the young and the old.

Plus, the animation is just AWESOME. Props to the animators of Shrek! Almost everything looks really realistic. The texture of the handkerchief, etc etc. Okay maybe I observe too much, but yeah. :/

I guess it just doesn't suit the kind of people who look for a lot of action in a movie.

But how can you possibly resist Donkey and Puss in Boots??? They're like the cutest characters EVARRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

So I'm pretty happy with my buys! ;) Except I didn't manage to get a new pair of shoes. Grr.

Been looking for a pair of brown oxford flats for MONTHS and I still can't find a decent looking one. Wtf.

And I don't know why both the things I want are brown in colour hahahah just a coincidence I guess.

Okay i'm a little bit weird cause I'm the awkward type who's not comfortable when it comes to hugs? Short ones are okay but long ones make me go .__. HAHAHAH. Which is annoying because I envy how other girls bffs hug each other (err, in a non lesbian-y way.) so naturally! Like so close and comfortable! Okay maybe guy bffs do too but that's kind of... hahaha.

K so I think I've to stop being so awkward. Right? :/

Okay but to justify myself a little.. XIANGYI! (if you're reading this) That hug was really incredibly long. HAHAHAH. Don't know if you sense my annoying awkwardness.

To be honest it was kinda funny cos after hugging awhile I kinda let go cos I assumed it'd be a short hug? Then like during some intervals I let go again but XY was still hugging. AHHAHAHHAHA omg paiseh. :$

Wooo, went for Junho's showcase (/mini concert) at Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore! :D

I'm SO happy I got to see Junsu live!! OMFG.

Honestly speaking, I originally went there because of Junsu (he's the 'guest appearance' for Junho's showcase). But in the end I find Junho's not bad too. Hahaha.

I just find that it's kind of weird, the fact that he wants to debut in China and is singing his songs in Chinese. I prefer the Korean version of his song! .__.

Oh and I find Junsu can sing so much better teehee. But enough with the comparing! They're both awesome.

I screamed A LOT during the concert, especially during Junsu's performance. LIKE OMG.

Junho waved back at us. And both of them looked at our direction. *SQUEALS*

The people in our area were TOTALLY not enthusiastic at all, only a few of them screamed occasionally. Most of the time only WE were screaming and being hyper LOL!

Which irritated me at first, because they all showed no enthusiasm whatsoever. But after that I realised it might be a good thing because when Junho/Junsu faced our direction, only we were waving frantically at them and screaming, so I'm sure we got their attention. HAHAHAH!

Cos we were sitting at the front few rows and the people in front of us didn't have any reaction when he turned to our direction. So yeah. hahahah.

Maybe the people behind us did wave too but we're still in front! HAHAHA.

After the showcase ended we got asked to chant 'Kim Jun Ho! Encore!' and it was soooo awkward.

I chanted a few times but NOBODY ELSE in our area chanted. So I stopped cos it was so quiet and it seemed like I was the only one who was chanting -__- The others (as in, in our group) chanted for a bit too but seriouslyyy, we couldn't, cos nobody else did. Grr.

Ahhhhh i still can't believe i saw Junsu IRL.

I would totally faint if Jaejoong went. Omg omg omg.

I just hope I don't get a sore throat tomorrow from all the screaming and cheering and shouting.

When Junsu came out, it was totally deafening hahahah!

Back from camp!

What's up y'all!

Got back from camp on Friday.

3 words: it was awesome ;D

It'll take way too long if I were to blog about every detail though, so I'm not going to :p

I was so tired I fell asleep that night (Friday) while using the computer. And my hair was still a little damp from the shower LOL.

About the camp!

Basically on Day 1, we played station games and had a night walk game thingy

and on Day 2 we played lots of water games and had Talent Night.

Probably the only thing I don't like about the 3D2N camp is the food lol. :(

Oh and the sun burn it gave me!! And the horrendous tan!

Shitttt my tans always take forever to fade.

The tan lines I got from swimming several months ago are still on my back.

LOL WTF right? Screw the sun :)

Anyway just to keep you guys updated again, I'm in Ngee Ann Poly's Audio-visual Technology.

First year will be horror because it's going to be full of PHYSICS and math, but I'll try to do my best because it's going to be awesome starting Year 2 ;D

A lot of those in my 'tribe' (group), Separatists (All of our tribes are Star wars themed lol) are in different classes as me though! Saddd.

Plus my course (AVT) has very little intake as compared to the other courses so the majority in my tribe were all from Electrical Engineering.

Going to miss those in different classes and different courses! :(

Made quite a lot of friends from the camp.

First of, Azmir and Samantha. We found each other on Twitter hahah!

And Allison, we met on Facebook and coincidentally we saw each other when we were registering for the camp last Wednesday!

It was funny because she was standing next to me so I just talked to her, and I didn't notice it was her until I saw her name on the form she was filling up. HAHAHA! Then she was like, "no wonder you look so familiar" Epic!!

Day 1 of camp, Azmir, Samantha and I planned to meet up at NP's bus stop before the camp but in the end I met up with Azmir only because we were running late :(

Azmir met someone else too at the bus stop, Thu, so the 3 of us went to register for camp first.

At first I thought they were friends but while walking they like totally didn't talk! Hahaha so it was pretty awkward tbh :x

Then it turns out we had to be allocated into different tribes, and Thu was in the same tribe as me!

Right now i'm neglecting Twitter because my facebook is completely flooded with friend requests, wall posts and comments. Ahhhh!

I kind of miss camp hahah!

I was in the school choir in Primary School.LOL
I don't know but from what I can remember, you're allowed to have multiple CCAs in Primary school?Well anyway, I was quite a nerd back then because I actually liked Science. :)
I was in the Science club in lower secondary then for some reason I dropped out of it and choir became my permanent CCA.
So yeah. Loved singing for a longggg time.But my school choir was pretty shit. Hahahah :x

Can't remember why (most probably she was really PMS-y the whole time) but practically the whole choir disliked her. Except for 1 or 2 teacher's pet.

went there with my parents and brother.

Currently feeling dejected (it is NOT too strong a word. bugger off!) because I still can't come to terms with the fact that Ugly Betty season 4 is going to be over in a few weeks.

ABC must be retarded to be cancelling Ugly Betty.
I mean come on, fuck the low ratings - there are SO MANY UB fans it's not even funny.

I know it's "just" a TV show etc etc etc but it's one of the best TV shows ever! Favourite TV show hands down, I think. I can't think of any other TV show that can beat UB. Maybe in the future, but not right now.

Just a few more episodes and I have to say good bye to the lovely cast.

I'll miss the Amanda and Marc duo (BEST duo ever!!), the sexy Mum Hilda and her awesome son Justin, the positive (and super lucky geeky girl with bad fashion sense who seems to get cute guys nonetheless) Betty, shitty turned good-guy Daniel and Christina, Betty's best friend who stopped appearing in Season 4. Teeth extraction.

Back from having my teeth extraction. Yeah, EW, I know.
It process itself wasn't painful. (phew!)
But now it's starting to hurt a little.

I forgot how to swallow pills (LOL) because I haven't gotten sick in a while. Plus, my upper lip is still numb from the anesthesia.
So I managed to swallow only 1 painkiller (supposed to take 2) and almost got a gag reflex. Ugh.

I have gauze in my mouth right now and I refuse to swallow my saliva. So I change the gauze really, really often lmao.

Oh well I hope it won't hurt that much tonight cause I still wanna eat. Lol.
I'm just glad it's over.
Can't wait for the ACTUAL braces -- This Friday!! :D

Well, well.

All these nitty gritty things you have to do to register for a place in a polytechnic is driving me nuts.
It's not much of a surprise, though.

The thing that really gets me is how NP (my school) is so unclear about so many things.
Other polys (SP and NYP, at least) seem to have everything layed out for their students.

And according to Jiayi, who is in NYP, they even divide the total school fee and state separately how much each individual thing costs. I mean they're like so meticulous!!

Oh well. Maybe NP has this stuff too, just not now?? I don't know.
Just really frustrated at how things are going right now.

Talked to Jiayi on the phone and she told me I have to apply for singpass online before i apply to pay via CPF. And that i have to 'accept' my course online first before i can pay for the school fees at the bank.

My first though was, maybe different schools have different practices. Because NP didn't state anything about accepting my course online before i can pay or that sort of thing.
But idk.

Everything is so confusing I feel like just filling up every form they give me and shoving it to someone in-charge who will sort it out for me.

SUPER FUN SHIT MAN!! :D
I've always wanted to play it but i don't have the CD and I hate going to lan shops. So i didn't. :/

But last night my brother asked if I wanted to play coz he had the CD.

GRAGGH so if you followed my tweets, you wouldn't known that I actually spent a good few hours trying to download L4D2 on my laptop and for some bloody reason, the thing keeps crashing right after i load the level. -_-

Anyway I kept trying until like 3.30am and finally gave up.
I woke up at 11am+. That's early considering i slept at 4am++ -_-

So I showered and immediately playd l4d2 on my brother's computer lololol!
Omg mad fun

But the thing is, now when i walk around my house, i get all wary about my surroundings because I feel like a 'Jockey' (one of the types of zombies) will come pounce on me any second.

Awesome-st dream

Just had the weirdest, but the awesome-st dream I’ve ever had in awhile, LOL.

I obviously can’t remember all parts of the dream (that always happens. Bummer), but I’m quite sure it’s pretty much awesome cos I remember myself waking up and actually SMILING to myself, thinking I was still in the dream. LOL

First off, it’s 8.45am right now and I can’t believe I’m actually up now coz I managed to sleep at only around 3.40am this morning. That means I slept for about a grand total of 5 hours. Awesome.

Anyway, I’ll try to make this according to how the dream went, but i can’t remember the exact order. This should be more or less right:

My mum suggested that I cut my long fringe into bangs. Lol random yes. Btw, I didn’t want to in the dream. Hahaha. But of course.

I think i had this dream coz I’m frustrated with my hair currently.

Okay then the following dreams are like somewhat linked.

I dreamt i was in some sort of campus.
I was in Chinese class (bleh) and the weird thing was I was in a class with Juniors of my ex Secondary school. I don’t know who they actually are, but some how I just know they’re my juniors. :/

So anyway we had to fill in the blanks for an exercise and I was clueless. I took a peek at one of the junior’s answers and her answer was completely wrong LOL.

Okay for the Chinese.. for example, the answer is supposed to be ‘课室' (ke4 shi4) but she wrote ‘可是' (ke3 shi4) instead. LOLOL geddit geddit??

The han yu pin yin’s the same but the tone is different. So in the dream i was like,”I’m screwed for this test.” LOL

After that we switched classes and some of my ex classmates appeared yay!

For some weird reason, i was helping them ‘take care’ of their wallets by letting them put their wallets in my bag coz apparently they (some classmates. like 4 of them) didn’t carry bags that day lol WEIRD.

When we were going to leave our main classroom to go somewhere else, I wanted to take the whole bag with me coz I was afraid the wallets might get stolen, since all the valuables are stored inside my bag.

This is very, very weird coz Junjie (class president) was going to lock the classroom door anyway. LOL.

Funniest thing ever is, in the end i only took my wallet, which was poking out of my bag.

In the dream, I assumed that their wallets were IN my wallet.

WTF??????

I was still thinking like, “Omg why is my wallet sticking out like that?! Higher chance and much easier for people to just go and steal it with all the other wallets inside.”

What the hell right?!??! ROFL

Okay next thing i can remember is, there was this toy cat thing that wiggled around you (esp your back) and it tickled, a lot. And the only way i found to stop the cat from wiggling is to say, “Hey kitty kitty.” HAHAHAHAHHA WTF TO THE BLOODY MAX!!!!!!!!!! xD

Next scene, i was in a school bus with my classmates and i remember Yaqi was with me and it seemed like our class was on our way to somewhere with lotsa candy. LOL weird. As if schools had excursions like that!

Remember the wiggling cat i talked about?

In the bus, Yaqi & i were talking about a candy that would tickle you when you ate it. LOL!

Apparently the one she tried wasn’t that strong, and the one i tried had the same ticklish effect as the wiggling cat, LOL so while I was laughing coz of the tickles, I was telling her that she would die if she tried the stronger one or the wiggling cat.

WTF right hahaha ‘strong’!! Makes it sound like drugs or something.

And at first i didn’t think much about why i said that, but now i think about it, it actually makes a lot of sense coz in real life, Yaqi is very sensitive to tickles!!! HAHAHAHAHA!

She and Jiayi would freak out if someone poked their stomach LOL mad funny. Well okay not so funny in Jiayi’s case coz she would pinch you. HARD. And it’s a slim chance you’d ever get to poke Yaqi’s belly coz her dodging skills are amazingly good lol

Next scene, i was in the building with classmates etc. CANDY BUILDING!! LOL.

Ok weird thing was, we’re supposed to take an egg or two from outside before entering a room. To eat later. LOL. It was like a steamboat or something. So. Effing. Random.

Anyway Yaqi was in front of me and she took 2 eggs, then she suddenly put one egg back into the tray and took another one.

I only wanted one, so i took one first.

And in the dream, Shermaine was way ahead of us so I wondered if she took an egg. So i decided to take an extra egg for her just in case she didn’t HAHAHA omg man I don’t know why I’m so helpful (and dumb) in the dream!!

First helping classmates to guard their belongings then now helping Shermaine to take an egg when she obviously did coz everyone had to take at least 1!!

Anyway i (stupidly) took the egg that Yaqi put back and it turns out it was cracked slightly and when i took it, it broke. LOL. Mad gross raw egg all over my hands. The things I do for you, Shermaine. :( HAHAHAHHA! Corny.

I had to clear up the mess and take another egg. Hands still sticky and all. Pooey. D:

Suddenly the scene sort of changed. We were still in the building but it wasn’t local!! All our accents turned different we suddenly were in the UK. LOL!! Random much?!?!

Then it appears we were all applying for some kind of school there.

Makes sense coz it applies to me – I’ve always wanted to go to England for University education in the future!

Because I had to clear up eggy mess, i showed up late.

I can only remember this part vaguely, so i wasn’t sure if it was the man himself, or Shahrul (a classmate) who said the man was “handsome”. LOL.

The man is just some middle-aged man in-charge of the enrolment of new students.

If it was the man himself who self-praised…. wow. :/

Anyway after either one of them said it, I saw the man and was thinking to myself, “Wtf. Definitely not ‘handsome’. I had high hopes after hearing that” Hahahaha

Anyway the idiot was kicking people out one by one – those who are deemed ineligible to enter the school. I was just entering the room when he called out my name to announce I was kicked out.

JERK!

He said I was late. I tried to explain but he wouldn’t listen! Kubye lao uncle. LOL (And we’re all conversing in English accents, LOL! Madness.)

Then he proceeded to accuse me, he said something like, “Anyway, didn’t you say I was very moody?” like since I thought he was very moody (ie bad temperament), it’s a good thing i’m getting kicked out anyway coz I won’t have to see him.

I was like, “What? Moody?? I never said that!” –___-

…along with other accusations i can’t remember. Arse!!

I was so mad after all the accusations so I just shouted, “FINE!” and slammed the door shut. Okay not really – i didn’t SLAM the door shut, I just closed it.

Just thought it would be cooler if I did slam the door. HAHAHAHA.

Then I went into a spare room to change before i left the building.

I locked it and for the reason the door was made in a super weird way whereby you have to put in a key from the inside to unlock it. Which is weird coz the keys are supposed to go ONLY from outside the room to unlock it, no? :/

From the inside you can just open the door as per normal what!! Weirdddd.

So i was freaking out when i couldn’t unlock the door so i tried unlocking with the key and it still didn’t work so i used the emergency exit, which is super lame..

I had to break open the top windows or something. And by breaking open, i don’t mean smashing the glass of the windows. I mean removing the WHOLE window itself. LOL.

Anyway, i felt this part was major cool but i can’t explain it in words. Basically it feels like I’m part of an action/adventure movie or something, trying to escape, so it was an AWESOME feeling. :D

Somehow i managed to get an opening to escape from the room. :D

Then Tammy suddenly appeared and I wanted to take a video to upload to Youtube about my quest of escaping the room. Like the surrounding rubble (wtf) and stuff. So i asked Tammy if she brought along her camera coz i didn’t want to use my phone’s video camera.

Because of course a digital camera’s video quality is better, right?

Afterwards we started camwhoring and 2 English guys (cannot remember if good-looking.. think average. LOL :D) appeared and asked us for something.

I told them we were in the middle of a ‘school project’. HAHAHAHAHHA wtf.

And they were like, “what? School project??? :/” because Tammy and i were camwhoring, how could that be part of a school project, right? Craziest and randomest dream, I swear.

Tammy and i took a vlog and i complained about my hair looking mad ugly in the video. Then we watched a video of Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie and for some reason, Nicole’s hair was similar to mine but she still looked good.

So i started complaining to Tammy again. LOL

Don’t you realise that some people look good no matter how their hair falls? Like, center-partings or wind-blowing-in-all-directions hair or hair pulled back, they always look good. D:

But then again, maybe it’s just a case of self-consciousness. :/

This post shall end abruptly here coz i can’t remember any other thing lol. Should i go back to sleep? Lol nah. Gonna go take a shower now teehee! :D

I just realised I didn't blog about my posting results. LOL!!
Have totally been neglecting my blog man. Kinda lost interest and just plain lazy.

Anyway, I got into Ngee Ann Poly's Audio-visual Technology.

I've been waiting for this for SO long!
In Primary school i didn't want to do braces coz I was super scared it would hurt and i have a HUGE phobia of going to the dentist's. I still do, kinda. LOL

But now I'm not that scared anymore and I'm pretty sure it won't hurt that much, if at all. At most just some discomfort but that's natural since you'd have something foreign in your mouth all of a sudden.

I'm so pumped for poly because I heard from Yaqi that I'll be learning photography in Year 2 and that's one thing I like to do! :D
She also said that I can learn an instrument in AVT and obviously i'm going to pick the guitar!! Hahahha!

I feel so ashamed cause I know so little about my own course yet Yaqi knows so much. Hahaha!
Anyway, it's because she asked the people regarding this course before, maybe when she went for the open house.

Outing with Shermaine! :D

We looked for Jiayi's birthday present, which was delayed for months.. LOL!
It was mainly because it was during the O level period, so we had no time to go look for a present. :X

Anyway, we ate ice-cream at Cold Rock! Both of us have been wanting to try it :D

Hahahah i donated while on my way to meet Shermaine.. I trust these organisations so I'll donate without doubt. They usually have schools participating, and you see students in uniform around with tins and stickers like these.

As for other people on the streets asking for donations, I reaaaally don't want to trust them anymore. Unless they are part crippled or old, I'll try not to donate to those people.

Honestly, I hate myself for ending up pitying them and donating to them in the end. I've been 'conned' several times before and i don't even know what organisation they're in and sometimes it's because they really PRESSURE you into donating.

I hate it.

If it's really for a good cause then DON'T be so bloody pushy. Donations are meant to be willingly given.

I've previously got 'cheated' by an Indian girl asking for donations at Jurong Point who said I could get a voucher or something if i donated. But the voucher wasn't even valid and there was no proper address to find the place.

It's not that I wanted the voucher in the first place, because i'm not even interested in whatever it was.
I don't think the place even exists and my point is, if you want donations then do it properly, you don't have to go around spinning stories for people to pity you, or come up with some stupid fake voucher shit.

For example on the way to Syahmin's chalet, we went to IMM first so we dropped off at Jurong East station.
Another Indian girl (seriously most of them are. why?) awaits.

Says she's from girl's home and parents can't afford her o level fees blah blah. Despite being a little doubtful, I believed her and wanted to help her. She was selling small cards in return for donations.

When Jiayi asked her how much the card was, she said "Any amount, $4 to $10".

So Jiayi gave $4 and the only small note i had was a $5 note, so I gave that.

Afterwards, we met up with Faeza and co. and found out they also got approached by the girl and also donated. But according to them, she said the cards were $2.

... okay? What does that mean then? Jiayi and I look like we're easier to buy sympathy from or con? LOL

I really don't want to trust any more unknown charity organisations. I've been cheated several times and this time, i'm not going to care about your boo-hoo stories anymore -___-

I will still donate, of course, but only to charity organisations (eg. those that schools participate in) and that can be trusted.

Anyway this pissed Jiayi off a lot, she got super mad at the guy who said "siao ah?" even until the next day LOL.

Anyway after working together with the help of mostly Weili and Leibing, we got rid of the damn cockroach by throwing newspaper at it HAHAHAHA and making it leave through the window.

Jiayi sprayed the whole room with the insect repellent she brought after that.

I seriously think that insects shouldn't even exist. What good are they at all? Screw the ecosystem shit, animals can rely on better things to eat.

2 Feb morning!

Jiayi slept early and it was terrible coz i couldn't get to sleep at all. -__-
Listened to my ipod, snacked on biscuits, walked around, counted sheep... all no use.

Hahah okay i didn't really count sheep.

I finally got to sleep after 4.30am, and woke up again at around 6.30am and couldn't go back to sleep. WTF -__-

All in all, i only managed to sleep for less than 4 hours. And the 4 hours were VERY interrupted.

I guess the environment really matters to me.. I can't sleep when i'm in an uncomfortable place while being worried about insects and the hygiene of the bed etc LOL. I don't know if they even WASH the bed sheets and blankets. Errrghh.

I’m packing for tomorrow’s (well, technically it’s TODAY. Past midnight. Ahh!) chalet! It’s Syahmin’s chalet.

She’s one of my classmate and friend and this is sort of like a farewell chalet. Grr. :( She’s going to study in Australia.

Okay so I know i haven’t done the video on our class barbecue. Sorry! Hehe. :D

I haven’t got the time since the day after the barbecue which is on Saturday, I went out with Shermaine to look for Jiayi’s birthday present (delayed by months haha sorry! Mainly because of O levels) and Chinese new year clothes.

And on Sunday I went out with Tammy for dinner.. we were supposed to meet with a blog shop owner but the girl is SO troublesome and just makes our blood boil. Replies her text messages SUPER slowly and doesn’t answer her calls at all. Godddd.

It’s not the first time that we had problem CONFIRMING the bloody meet-up time and location.

It’s okay if she can’t make it, but at least RESPOND TO TEXTS. At least let people know whether you’re able to meet and not let them wait for nothing. So irresponsible!! Grrrrrr.

Anyway, yeah, that’s why I had completely no time to edit the video.. without feeling like falling asleep in the middle of it. Lol

Oh well I guess the video will have to wait! :)

Oh and I removed my blonde streaks of extensions already! Lol i’m pretty sick of them because the knot part shows at the top when i tie my hair and it’s annoying when I brush my hair because of the extensions. I can’t brush my hair normally where it’s at.

Previously i only removed one streak and a huge tuft of hair came off together with the extension. It freaked me out cos i thought i cut off some of my real hair accidentally.

Well i removed the rest and more tufts of hair came off LOL so apparently i didn’t cut of my hair accidentally :/

Well whatever it is, I don’t regret removing the extensions cos i’ve been suspecting maybe my hair fall has something to do with the extensions, MORE OR LESS, no matter how ridiculous it might sound.

Maybe it’s tugging on the scalp and not promoting proper scalp circulation? Possible, right?

So yeah I’ll try to update asap! :D

p.s. My calves are aching like a bitch for some reason. o__O Saturday shopping, walked too much? haha i’m mad weak. I don’t exercise btw….. if you couldn’t already tell LOL. Couch potato ftw

p.p.s. My nail polish is just starting to chip and I’m already getting super annoyed by the sight of the LITTLE chips. I just cannot stand chipped nail polish for some reason it’s like a number one pet peeve!

I don’t understand how some people can live weeks with SUPER DUPER chipped nail polish!! I’ve seen some people like that. And by SUPER DUPER chipped, I mean REALLY, REALLY MAJORLY chipped nail polish.

Chipped to the extent only the center part of their nails have a small bit of the nail polish colour.

Just our luck that it rained then, and it got them stuck in the rain or something, according to Junjie.

So I guess we can't blame them for being so late lol but it was frustrating. :(

The 2nd reason is kind of complicated, but basically the 3 of us kept alighting so that we are able to meet the rest of the people and go as a group but the 1st time we did that for Junjie's group, their group couldn't get out of the train. Lol

For this outing, for example, not many people attended. Probably half the class or less only.

That really annoys me A LOT.

In secondary 1/2, i've always been bringing up ideas on class outings and trying to organise them but failing miserably.

Apparently all the classes i've been in are the nerdy classes and not many people really bother. Grr, suckers.

So i've pretty much given up on ORGANISING class outings in secondary 3/4. I leave it to other people. All I have to do is say 'yes' when someone asks me if i wanna go for a class outing. -_-

Polytechnic posting results

Okay.

Received my posting results via SMS and... unfortunately, I've not been successful in entering Mass Communications.

Well, that's okay, but the extremely PATHETIC thing is, I've not even been successful in entering my 2nd-6th choices!!

Mass communication: NP
Advertising & public relations: NP
Film, sound & video: NP
Psychology & community services: NP
Media & communication: SP
Creative writing for television and new media: SP
Visual communication and media design: SP
Arts business management: NP

And blah blah blah.
The other choices are all crap and lower in points (meaning harder to get in) and i just put it there for the sake of putting it there because i thought if the course isn't that popular i might be able to get in one of those courses, JUST IN CASE i couldn't get into ANY of the above choices.

So anyway, i completely did not expect myself to not be able to enter my first 6 choices.
Freaking disappointed with myself grrrr.

I got into my 7th choice, which is visual communication and media design.

Which sucks because this course is more of an art (as in ART & CRAFT) course which i have absolutely no idea about.
I want to appeal to Arts business management.

It's a new course and would most likely be easier to get in but then chances of my appeal being a success, I DON'T KNOW.
I don't know if my reasons are good enough to earn a spot in that course.
Going to give it a shot anyway.

Anyway after thinking about it, this might be for the better anyway.
I am interested in the arts (as in musical theatres etc), so arts business management should interest me as well.

And i've come to realise, no matter how much i like mass communications, i MIGHT not be suited for it.
What job can i possibly get out of mass comm?

I used to be interested in journalism and i still am now, but i realised writing might not always be my forte. I can only write very well when it's of a topic that interests me. I don't know why but i just CAN'T write about something I don't want to. In short, I'm just not really journalist material.

So back then i decided, okay, i'm still most suited to mass comm because all my interests are here. I can go for radio production. I've been interested in DJ-ing anyway.

But seriously, can that really earn me a job? Let's be practical here.
I need to STAND OUT from the thousands of people who want a job as a DJ. How many DJs can there be?

At least in Arts business management, I'm pretty sure it'll be much easier to get a stable job.

And i'm pretty sure i'm not just saying this because i'm "trying to make myself feel better" yadda yadda.

I've pretty much got over the fact that I will never be accepted into Mass comm and I will accept that. It's just not for me, I guess.

Now all i'm worried about is the success of my appeal.
I can't possibly go to visual communication and media design or i'll just suffer the next 3 years.

So I just had an interview in NgeeAnn Poly this morning.
My JPSAE application was successful!!! Woohoo. :D

Well, it started off bad, I would say. :/

Tammy was sick, and for some reason her phone’s alarm didn’t ring/she didn’t hear it.

She was planning to wake up at 6.45am-7am this morning, but I just rang her up because I had a feeling she would still be sleeping. LOL.
It happened a few times before. HAHAH. Biatch.

I called her at 7.30am, and she didn’t answer so I kept calling her house phone and finally her Dad answered and true enough, she was still in bed.

So anyway, long story short, we reached NP a few minutes late (was supposed to reach by 9.50am) and we had to find Block 53.

OMFG. They could’ve just told us WHICH SCHOOL.

Because when we arrived we were totally clueless. Couldn’t find it.
In the end, we found block 53, but via a different (different meaning not the usual one) route which is situated in a REALLY weird place.

Waiting area for the interview was MAD HOT.

Tammy and I were perspiring like NEVER before. Okay I don’t know about her, but I know I WAS.
Other people waiting there seemed to be 100% fine, though.

But that’s because we walked SUPER fast before that. LIKE, CRAZY FAST!!

The interviewer started it off with: You are late.

Whew… yeah. I am late.

She looked pretty stern and it was obvious she wasn’t happy with my lack of punctuality. Like what I tweeted, I am quite sure it is going to affect my chances of getting in –__–

And I think the interviewer sort of doubted me. Scratch that, she obviously doubted me.

She asked if I had been to NP before and I said yes, and she was like, “You’ve been to NP before but you don’t know how to find this block?” and she asked 2 more questions with the same meaning as the first.

“Oh, so you have been to NP but you still don’t know how to find this block?”

Err okay, she sure made me very comfortable. :) Not.

I understand why she would doubt me, but I don’t find it very fair.
Obviously, she wouldn’t have known my side of the story and would be thinking that I’m a LIAR.

LIAR!!!!! <—That’s the part I hate. I don’t want her to think I’m a bloody liar.

Why she would doubt me, is because, if I say I have been to NP and I have been to the School of Media, why wouldn’t I know how to find the building? It’s either 1. I’m finding excuses for being late 2. I never have been to NP before in the first place.

If I were her, I would think I’m lying too.

WHICH BLOODY SUCKS. OMG.

I didn’t even know that block 53 was the building of the School of Media. –_-
In fact, the sign we followed said something like “Block 53: Chemical technology” so we assumed it was the building for that. :/

Maybe we mixed up the signs, I don’t know, but it doesn’t even matter anymore now coz now she thinks I’m a LIAR.

Another thing that sucked today was…

MY HEELS.

Okay so Tammy told me to wear heels coz they’re more formal. Figured since i haven’t worn them in awhile, I should anyway because why else did I buy them, right? (actually my mum did. hehe <3)

And it was a horrible decision because I was left with reaaally bad blisters.

I never had such a bad experience with heels before WTF!!

I’m positive (the irony!) it’s because of all the walking up the stairs and the brisk walking to find god damn block 53. And walking down slopes was like complete HELL.

Every step was sooooo bloody painful and unbearable. ARGH AND I STILL HAVE THE BLISTERS :@

And plasters didn’t help.

So our next stop was to go to Vivocity because Tammy wanted to get tank tops.

I wanted to look for a cotton on/rubi outlet because I wanna get their flip flops. Theirs are mad cheap and I’m not a flip flop person so if I were to get havaianas, it would be a waste of my money coz this is just temporary.

Havaianas are WAY too overpriced in my opinion and people are just buying it because everybody else is. Just saying! *grins* lol

But to my horror there weren’t any Cotton on/Rubi outlets in Vivo which is pretty ridiculous considering I see their stores almost everywhere I go. They’re even in Orchard Ion.

So we had lunch first and I had boring ol’ fish and chips because the pain in my feet made me lose my bloody appetite. Yes.

Then we walked around first, me whining on and on endlessly.

My new trademark? “I’m dying.”

I SERIOUSLY SAY THAT TOO MUCH.

I also say “Screw you!” a lot. Which is not very nice. Need to kick the habit. But it’s less crude than “Fuck you!”, no? :)

And because it is terry clothed, it is not the usual kind of flip flops that are made out of rubber, which for some reason I am quite sensitive and uncomfortable with unless they’re the kind with smoothed edges.

Turns out they lost our receipt (with the order).
LIARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bet the waitress forgot to key in the order for the dessert.

Lol okay la maybe she was telling the truth. But whatever.

The other time I made ddeokboggi with Shermaine & Yaqi, we actually used ready-made sauce because we couldn't find a small container of 고추장 (hot pepper paste) because even the smallest container was too much - we didn't need to use a lot.

So this time, since i'm making it alone, i figured i might as well get a container since i'm sure I'll be making more of it :D

Chicken ham and fish cake.

I'm no fan of fish cakes, but somehow it just seems right to have the fish cake inside the dish. Lol.
Oh and I also added cabbage.. which I didn't take pictures of.

Well, overall it was a success, but I think I boiled the rice cakes too early and by the time i prepared all the other ingredients, they hardened slightly -__-
I could've reboiled it, but I already added it into the sauce LOL.

And if I had more sauce, I could have simmered the whole thing and make the rice cake softer, but this time there wasn't a lot of sauce.. which is actually how they cook it LOL.

Usually the dish isn't cooked with so much sauce.

But I prefer it with more sauceeee. :/

I just got my O level results yesterday!!! *jumps*

It's not superbly good, but it's not bad either :D

I won't deny that I'm pretty disappointed with my English grade, despite being content. And thankful.

For the past year or so, I realised that writing may not be what I'm cut out for after all. That's why I'm not really steering into the journalism direction - which was what I used to want in Ngee Ann Poly's mass communications.

I say that because I realise I've started to get the writer's block. Like everytime. :/

You know how teachers say you're supposed to incorporate or adapt from a story you've read before (into your writing) blah blah blah??

I can't seem to do that.

It's like, I have a tendency to want to make every story plot NEW and MINE, so everything turns out to be... boring? So I end up coming up with anything I can think of (and I'm not very detailed in my planning. But hey, at least I do bother to plan! Lol) - and basically everything's a mess. My O level composition was a complete disaster. It was kind of out of point. :/

But if you asked me now, I can't remember what I wrote. LOL I can't even remember the title/question I chose!
All I remember was that I was freaking out after the paper.

Comprehensions are much, MUCH easier to score.

Anyway.. I got a B3 for English. :/
Yeah. Bloody disappointing. But I didn't have very high hopes, so the disappointment lasted for a short while........ I think.

............. because now I'm back to dwelling about it again.

Okay so it seems I'm smartest at the so-called 'looked down upon' subjects that can 'get you no where' in life. LOL.

Which is obviously not true but that's what a lot of people think.
A lot of people focus more, and think that the subjects that bring them fortune and jobs are only science and math related.

Which is good for me because I am no Science or Math person.
(Maybe Math is okay but definitely not AMath. Lol.)

To be honest, I think there's not much point in me having so much knowledge in a math or sciences, unless I plan to be a scientist or... well, you get what I mean.
Otherwise, I don't see how I can apply my knowledge.

Someway or another, I can apply them, but definitely not in everyday life.

But in Home Economics, I can.
I'll cook. And nutrition is part of our everyday life, whether you like it or not.

Literature can be, too.
You'll read things everywhere you go. And thoughts go through your mind all the time. It's all part of literature!

Combined humanities are no exception.

Geography and Social Studies --- apparent in the news, world, etc etc etc

Math - definitely will be using math in everyday life.
Simple calculation, algebra, etc. But that's all.
And you can always use a calculator (On the go with no calculator? Not to worry! Hint: YOUR PHONE. I've never seen a mobile phone without a calculator function. Lol) so SCREW MENTAL CALCULATION!!

Seriously, mental calculation? That is so primary school..... No wait, now even Primary school kiddos are using calculators.
So let me change what I've just said.

Of course simple calculation can be calculated mentally but in my opinion, only subtraction and addition is considered simple.......... LOL.
Unless it's really really really easy peasy multiplication/division.

If you read my tweets, I suddenly had the urge to do nail art.

Not the funky 3D kind of course! That's a bit too ambitious and anyway, I don't like super chunky nails with lots of diamantes/pearls/shit.

I don't know, but I don't think they're all that nice and I don't know how you do stuff with nails like that. Especially when your nails are superbly LONGGGG.

So I settled with leopard print nails!!

My fingernails are fucked up because I went swimming (swam many times recently) and it probably has got something to do with the chlorine in the pool.

So I just tried it on my toe nails instead!

Not bad for a first timer eh? :D
(shut up!!!! I'm trying to make myself feel better. LOL)

Think it'd look better on finger nails though, lol, because the nail bed on toes are just too small.

I messed it up on my left toe (which explains why I didn't take a picture of both feet) but I'm too lazy to re-do it. Lol

RISOTTO!!!!

I know it looks mad gross. I'd be lying if I said it looks fine.
But it tasted GOOOOD!! :D

So creamy. Yum yum.
But halfway onto the whole bowl, both Tammy and I got sick of it. HAHAHAHA.

Anyway it's basically rice infused with chicken stock soup, with cream, button mushrooms and minced beef.
We took videos of the process so look out for it! :D

I took some home for my brother to try and he said it's good!

Anyway, I wanted to feel all defensive and go, "All risotto look gross!" if someone actually tells me on my blog that our risotto looks disgusting or something. LOL

So I googled for pictures of risotto and...... here are the results.

I have nothing against greens - LOL I make it sound like it's a type of race HAHAHAHA - I eat my greens! But just not very much of green peas.

In my opinion.. why ruin a dish by adding green peas into it?!?!

I know some people add peas to add 'colour' to their dish but to be completely honest, I'd rather there be no colour at all. Lol.

The day after risotto-making, I met Shermaine & Yaqi to make 떡볶이 (ddeokboggi)!
It's a type of Korean dish.. it's basically spicy rice cakes. Yummm.

So we met up and bought the ingredients at Westmall's SolMart.

Awesommeeee.
It's near my place (just have to take a bus), so the next time I feel like making it again I can just pop by and get the ingredients! :D

The recipe I wrote down hurriedly that morning.... which explains the handwriting.

Don't you hate it when you can't write properly early in the morning?

This wasn't so bad considering I showered first. If I were to start writing immediately after i woke up, my handwriting would be far worse than this.

We changed the recipe a little because we couldn't find a smaller container of 고추장 (gochujang), which is the chili paste. It all came in big containers.

So the woman in the shop suggested the small packets of ddeokboggi sauce.

I didn't want to get it at first, because this sauce is ready made and if we use it, we wouldn't really be making it. So the whole meaning of making the dish is sort of like.. gone. Y'know? :/

It turned out we had no choice.. but it was still fun making!

The 떡 (ddeok), or rice cake, boiled.

Fish cake (Korean style. Lol) and chicken ham.
Decided to modify the recipe and add ham!

Shermaine and I sliced them, and i sliced the cabbage:

Yaqi basically just stood there eating her OWN PACK OF HAM LOL!!!!
She actually bought ONE WHOLEEEE pack of pork ham for herself to eat there LOL.

Ok to be fair, she peeled the onions.

It was a success!!! .... not really :p

I think it has got to do with the sauce we used - it's TOO darn sweet.
It's supposed to by spicy. The spicier, the betterrrrr. Lol.

In the original recipe, we were supposed to use gochujang and chili powder, but we figured since we used the ready-made sauce, we didn't need any chili powder. so we didn't get any.

Then I called my mum (life saver) when we found that it's too sweet and asked if we had any chili powder in the house.

AND WE DID!!! YAHOOOO!!

Added chili powder and it improved the sauce by A LOT.
Don't underestimate chili power!!

Anyway is it chili or chilli? Argh. Going to google later.

HAHAHAHAHA speaking of which, Tammy says I rely too much on Google.

Everytime I encounter a problem, I google for an answer. And it's so true. But i can't help it! What other efficient way is there to get answers??

Went out for lunch with Tammy today and it felt so WEIRD.

Saw so many secondary students around in groups, IN THEIR UNIFORMS. And it felt so weird because I got 'Why am I not in my school uniform too?' popping into my head every 5 minutes or so. :/

To add to that, I still look like I'm in secondary 1 (LOL) so it adds to the weird factor.

It seems like only yesterday when I was so eager to graduate from Secondary school, and envying the seniors who finally get to graduate and say good bye to their secondary school life.

Now that it's actually happening to me, it actually feels very surreal.
You guys do know what I'm talking about, don't you?!

I wouldn't lie --- I'm ecstatic about not having to go back to school!
Yet at the same time, I sort of miss some of my teachers and the time spent in school.

Funny lessons/teachers, fun Science practical experiments (yes I kid you not! They're actually fun sometimes lol), CCAs.

Archery is definitely not what I'd pursue (NEVER!!! Don't need to add on to my already tanned skin. Plus my constant swimming... omg I need to stop swimming for good. or at least swim in the night only LOL), but trust me, it's pretty fun!

And shut up if you're going to say things like, WHAT? YOUR CCA IS ARCHERY? YOU'RE IN THE ARCHERY CLUB?!?!? TOTALLY CAN'T TELL.

The archery seniors got into quite a bit of trouble. LOL.

Well, not all of the seniors of course. But almost ALL of the secondary 4 archery club members.

Well let's start with Delwyn. He stopped going for archery practices donkey years ago until the teacher in charge (bitchy Mdm JM lol) totally gave up on him LOL.

In the beginning, Tammy didn't go to much archery practices either and at that time, we weren't very close. It was until she started coming to more archery practices, I think, that the both of us got closer!!

Come to think of it, I really can't remember when it was exactly that we came to be so close!

In the past there was quite a lot of drama.
According to one of my previous friends, she told me that Tammy didn't like me. LOL.

At that time, despite being curious as to why Tammy disliked me, I just shrugged it off because I felt she was a typical 'ah lian' who just disliked people for no good reason at all. HAHAHA.

So I guess that was the reason why I distanced myself from Tammy and also probably why we weren't very close.

Anyway - back on topic!

The 5 of us rebellious archers (LOL) were constantly picked on by Mdm JM for some reason. That whore LOL!!!

Seriously, I don't know how many times I've blogged, ranting about her, in my previous blog entries.

She just doesn't like us, and we just don't like her. period. LOL

There was once, we were all SICK AND TIRED of her stupid nonsense and archery practices, that we decided to skip archery practice. LOL.

It was also partly because our old archery coach, Coach Azman, got removed and replaced by this.. er... Coach G. And we didn't really like Coach G in the beginning.
He's quite okay to be honest, but we all prefer coach Azman!! Funny and nice. :D

The dumb thing was, we decided to sit at the foyer. LIKE WTF RIGHT?? HAHAHAHA FUCKING DUMB!! FOYER!!!

I can't remember the exact details but I vaguely rememeber Hongying was doing her Chinese assignment or something.

Then Mdm JM came and found us sitting in the foyer. BOY WAS SHE ANGRY. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

In short, we all got into pretty much a lot of trouble but really, most of the time it's just Mdm JM being biased against us.

Honestly speaking, all of us (with the exception of Tammy, I think, lol) attended ALL archery practices unless with good reason.

Mdm JM kept accusing us of not attending practices or not being serious at Archery JUST because she wasn't around while we were shooting! Fuck her!

It's about the timing man, seriously. Whenever she comes to check on us, it would be our rest time. After a round of shooting, you OBVIOUSLY need to rest, right?

Come on, give us a break!!

And after she caught us THAT FINE DAY, skipping archery, she became more biased -_-

Also... I have a feeling that our group are pretty much anti-social because we roll with our group only and not with the secondary 3s or the lower sec students LOL. I have a feeling they don't really like us anyway, so screw them hahahahahaha okay just kidding. Some are okay.

But whatever, all of that crap is over because I don't have to go back there. Whoopee!!!

Having said that, I still miss the archery days, especially where we hang out after archery practices despite being dead beat and sweaty all over.

The classical guitar (originally my aunt's) is in very good condition and is okay, but then again I'm going for acoustic guitars, not classical. :/

1. My allowance isn't very steep
